History

Colson Caster Corporation is a well-established company with its origin dating back to 1885. Colson has long been a leader in the caster and wheel industry. Colson is a member of The Marmon Group, an international association of more than 100 autonomous member companies. Today Marmon Group Member companies operate more than 550 facilities in 50 countries.

In 1976, Colson opened a plant in Monette, Arkansas to mold high quality wheels for its caster applications. Over the years the plant's business has expanded to include companies in the lawn and garden industry, the elevator and escalator industry, and the material handling industry. The Colson Plastics division was created in 2000 to separate this segment of the business from the traditional caster business and to allow more emphasis to be placed on its growth.

Colson Plastics has since acquired facilities in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Gallatin, Tennessee, and Wagoner, Okalahoma. The addition of these facilities has expanded our ability to provide quality products to our existing customer base as well as technical support and assistance to potential customers. To further our commitment, in 2001 Colson Plastics achieved IS0-9001 and ISO-9002 Registration.
